TRENCIANSKE TEPLICE: The Slovak Audiovisual Fund is consulting with the Ministry of Finance about the establishment of conditions to set up a short-term soft loan system for film production.

PRAGUE: Chinese, Indian and Italian film and TV productions will fill the schedule at Milk & Honey Films and its sister film studio Prague Studios through the end of the year, with US and Canadian productions also on the horizon.

ZILINA: Irish director Alan Holly won the Anca Award for Coda and Joana Kozuch won the Fest Anca Slovak Award for Fongopolis at the 7th Fest Anca festival of animated films which concluded on 22 June 2014.

TRENCIANSKE TEPLICE: MPhilms producer Matyas Prikler is gearing up to roll out his second and third films of the year, both expected to complete postproduction in July.

ZILINA, SLOVAKIA: The seventh edition of Fest Anca kicked off with the launch of a two-day industry programme running on 19 and 20 June 2014. Seven animators and projects were presented at a pitching forum on day one, and the video game industry gathers on day two.

ZILINA: Slovakia’s animation films festival, Fest Anca will lead off the summer film festival season with its seventh edition, which begins earlier than in past years, running 18-22 June 2014 in the northwestern city of Zilina.

PRAGUE: The 22nd Art Film Fest which runs 21-27 June 2014 will screen six new feature films and one classic in the Slovak Season section.
