The 18th edition of Black Nights Film Festival introducing an International Competition has opened accreditation for industry and press. The festival, now accredited by FIAPF as one of fifteen Non-Specialized Feature Film Competition Festivals,  takes place from 14th to 30th November in the setting of winter wonderland of Tallinn, Estonia.

SIBIU: The Astra Film Festival, will take place from 6 - 12 October this year in Sibiu, Romania. A highlight of the festival is the Central and Eastern Europe Documentary Competition, featuring ten films from the region.

Second time around for WESTWIND in Moscow

Astra Film Sibiu (the 6th-the 12th of October 2014), the oldest and the most important festival of documentary cinema in Central and Eastern Europe offers with each edition a perspective on the documentaries having been produced in the named region during the year. The Festival has focused on this since its very beginning in 1993, the selected films approaching subjects which define the identity of the area and unveil realities sometimes unknown even among neighbouring countries.

WARSAW: In a surprise move the European Commission has moved the management for the Creative Europe MEDIA programme to Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG Connect). 

VALLETTA: Luxembourg director Eric Lamhene has been awarded the top prize of the International Malta Short Film Festival which spans 10 weeks from July to September every year.
