SOFIA: Petar Valchanov’s and Kristina Grozeva’s Bulgarian/Greek coproduction The Father has been selected as Bulgaria’s candidate for the 93rd Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the best international feature film category.

The 22nd edition of East-West co-production market connecting cottbus (coco) is still underway, taking place entirely online this year from 4-6 November 2020, and announced the award winners of its two sections – feature films in development in cocoPITCH and works in progress in cocoWIP.

Institute of Documentary Film and Film New Europe are happy to announce the new collaborative project, the podcast series dedicated to the documentary film of Central and Eastern Europe: True Story.

NICOSIA: The 15th Cyprus International Film Festival, running 15 – 22 November 2020, will announce its on-site screening programme on 13 November, depending on the COVID-19 situation at that time. The festival already has an online version in place.
