TALLINN: Estonian/Finnish war drama 1944 by Elmo Nüganen has been released in the UK on DVD and is also available on Amazon. For the European market its title is 1944: Forced to Fight.

VILNIUS: Lithuanian writer/director Egle Vertelyte is in postproduction with her first feature film Miracle, a Lithuanian/Bulgarian coproduction.

TBILISI/BUCHAREST: House of Others by Rusudan Glurjidze is Georgia's candidate in the Foreign Language category at the 89th Academy Awards, while Romania has chosen Sieranevada by Cristi Puiu.
