VALLETTA: Michael Bay will start shooting the rescue drama 13 Hours on location in Morocco and Malta at the beginning of April. The film will star John Krasinski and David Denman.

VILNIUS: Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris will celebrate its 20th anniversary from 19 March to 2 April 2015.

DUBROVNIK: Fan, an upcoming Indian drama starring Shahrukh Khan, will be partially filmed in Dubrovnik from 16 to 24 March. Formula Film is providing services.

BUCHAREST: Radu Jude's third feature, Aferim! opened in Romania on 13 March selling 20,039 tickets in the first weekend and beating the record set in 2013 by Calin Peter Netzer's Child's Pose produced by Parada Film with 19,729 admissions. Jude’s film thus had the most successful opening for a domestic film in the last 13 years.

WARSAW: Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. agreed to buy a 52.7 percent stake in Poland’s TVN SA for 584 m EUR and to assume 840 m EUR of debt. The stake is being bought from Vivendi SA and ITI Group.
