Congratulations

On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the Polish Film Institute the following organisations have expressed their congratulations and their opinions on the successful work of the institute within the framework of the European film industry.

ARISTOTELES WORKSHOP (AW) is a training and development center dedicated to foster a new generation of creative documentary filmmakers in Central and Eastern Europe. Documen- taries produced within AW have won awards at major film festivals such as Cannes, Locarno, Leipzig and Nyon, among many others. Professional training is provided by preeminent leaders in the field. AW is supported by ARTE, the National Center of Cinematography (CNC) and the National Cultural Fund Administration (AFCN)

The Malta Film Commission has announced that its cash rebate for filmmakers will be increased to a total of 27 percent, subject to government approval.

Krakow, 17th April 2014 - Following the selection for the music and documentary competitions, the organisers of Krakow Film Festival announce the list of films selected for the short film competition. 39 films will compete for the Golden Dragon.

VILNIUS: Nine feature film projects are among the recipients of 205,000 EUR in development funding announced by the Lithuanian Film Center.

The Institute of Documentary Film introduces the projects which will participate in the 2014 edition of DOK.Incubator.

On the 11th of April mega production titled “Kick” - directed and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala - has begun filming. It is the first Indian project of this scale in the history of Warsaw. The project involves superstars of Indian film industry, including the idol of hundreds of millions of fans - Salman Khan. Polish part of the production is produced by Film Polska Productions.
