BUCHAREST: Şerban Marinescu is in preproduction with The Woman with the Black Necktie, a comedy set to be shot in Greece and Romania in autumn. Negotiations with Greek coproducer Metavision are underway.

BUCHAREST: The Administration Council of TVR (www.tvr.ro) will cease broadcasting TVR Cultural and TVR Info in an attempt to recover its 133 m EUR debt. TVR3 will continue, but without any budget.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak director Juraj Nvota is in preproduction for a winter 2012 shoot of his film Hostage, which was originally scheduled to go into production in spring.

BUCHAREST: Spanish director Chema Rodriguez has completed the first 10 days of filming on his road-movie, Night Falls in India, in Romania, before moving to Turkey and Spain.

BUCHAREST: Director/screenwriter Stere Gulea teams up with DOP Vivi Drăgan Vasile (Occident) and actress Luminiţa Gheorghiu (The Death of Mr. Lăzărescu) for the first time since collaborating on the Romanian classic Moromeţii (1985) with I'm an Old Communist Hag.
