BUCHAREST: The French company Alpha Violet picked up Marius Olteanu’s debut feature Monsters. / Monștri., even before its selection for the Forum programme of the 69th Berlin International Film Festival (7-17 February 2019). The film is nominated for both GWFF Best First Feature Award and Teddy Award.
BUCHAREST: The new teen film by Romanian writer/director Cristina Jacob Oh, Ramona! will be released domestically on 91 screens on 15 February 2019. Cristina Jacob’s box office hits #selfie and #selfie 69 topped the domestic charts in 2014 and 2016. This is the first English language film by Cristina Jacob with plans for theatrical distribution abroad.
