CLUJ-NAPOCA: Bogdan Dreyer’s movie starring Gérard Depardieu and Harvey Keitel opened in 21 Romanian towns 15 March 2013, distributed by Family Film. The movie will be screened in the Romanian Days section (6-8 June) at the 12th Transylvania International Film Festival.

BUCHAREST: Adrian Sitaru’s third film, Domestic, was launched simultaneously in Romanian cinemas and online for foreign viewers on 22 March 2013. The film, a realistic tragicomedy about people who eat the animals they love and animals that love people unconditionally, is screening during Days of Romania Film at the Transilvania IFF, 6-8 June 2013. 

BUCHAREST: Romanian producer/writer/director Anca Damian has begun production on the animated documentary The Magic Mountain, the second part of her Death (and Life) Trilogy which started with the 2011 award winning Crulic - The Path to Beyond/Crulic - Drumul spre dincolo.

ZAGREB: Finnish writer/director Arto Halonen (Princess, Pavlov’s Dogs) is in postproduction with the first Finnish-Croatian coproduction, a comedy about the doping-phenomenon notable for the casting of Canadian Olympic athlete Ben Johnson, who relinquished his gold medal when he tested positive for doping, in a minor role.

CANNES: Adam Csaszi's male love story Land of Storms  which is in postproduction has already been sold by the German sales outfit, m-appeal to several territories during Cannes Film Festival.

NICOSIA: Petros Charalambous is developing an adaptation of Eve Makis's novel Land of Golden Apple (first published in the UK) with Eve Makis writing the script and Marios Piperides producing through AMP Filmworks from Cyprus.
