GDYNIA: Marcin Koszałka explores the mind of a serial killer in the Polish/Czech/Slovak coproduction The Red Spider, selected for the main competition of the 41st Gdynia Film Festival (19-24 September 2016). This is the first feature film by the accomplished documentary filmmaker Marcin Koszałka.

KRAKOW: Małopolska Débuts Studio will allot in its first edition 76,000 EUR / 330,000 PLN to three Polish first short films chosen out of 31 applications. Małopolska Debuts Studio was set up by Kraków Film Cluster in order to support young filmmakers’ first fiction or documentary short films.

LUBLIN: Polish box office hit director Juliusz Machulski is currently shooting his new comedy Volta, produced by ZEBRA Film Studio with an all-star cast. The film is set to premiere in 2017.

WARSAW: Polish Oscar winner Paweł Pawlikowski is in development with Cold War (working title), a drama set in Poland of the 50s and 60s. Pawlikowski told FNE that the film will tell the story of two young people and their difficult love in those times.

WARSAW: Wiesław Saniewski‘s Squadron 303, the long awaited adaptation of Arkady Fiedler's bestselling novel about Polish pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain, is currently in production. Jerzy Skolimowski, James McManus and Ewa Piaskowska wrote the script.
