WARSAW: Polish public broadcaster TVP and BBC Worldwide have signed an intention letter furthering their trade co-operation, which includes coproducing new series and films.

WARSAW: Anne Fontaine’s drama Agnus Dei starring Agata Kulesza and Agata Buzek will be released by Music Box Films in the U.S. on 1 July 2016.

WARSAW: Ryszard Zatroski is shooting Porady na zdrady, a romantic comedy about marital infidelity starring Weronika Rosati. Figaro Film Production Ltd. is producing.

WARSAW: The Polish Film Institute launched a digital library of school films made by the students and graduates of four leading Polish film schools. The collection includes over 200 productions, made in the last 40 years by the most accomplished filmmakers of Polish cinema as well as new titles made by recent debutantes. The films are available on the website for free.

WARSAW: High Life, the first English-language film from Palm D'Or winner Claire Denis, has received 1.5 m PLN from the Polish Film Institute. The film will be a coproduction between France, Germany, UK and Poland.

WARSAW: Poland introduced its seventh regional film commission, located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship in southeastern Poland. The Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund is planned to launch in 2017.

WARSAW: The Cinema in Sneakers Film Festival, which took place in Warsaw 1-12 June 2016, gave its main prizes to films from Germany and the UK. The juries of the festival, which was created in 2013, are comprised entirely of young viewers.
