JIHLAVA: East Silver, a documentary market specialized in Eastern and Central European documentary, is open for submissions until 30 June 2015.

Submissions are now open for Ex Oriente Film 2015, the year-long international workshop supporting the development and funding of creative documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe.

PRAGUE: On Monday, April 6, an exceptional documentary Cain's Children will be screened in Cinema Světozor in Prague. In a visually captivating manner, the Hungarian director Marcell Gerő tells the stories of three people, who were sentenced to long-term inprisonment for murder in the communist era and who are now trying to cope with their crimes and to make sense of free society.

Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, North America's largest documentary event, will screen documentaries supported by the Institute of Documentary Film from 23 April to 3 May 2015 in Toronto.

PRAGUE: The 15th edition of East European Forum will take place in Prague within the 4th East Doc Platform from 2 to 8 March 2015.

The fourth edition of East Doc Platform is approaching with the traditional Open Programme consisting of masterclasses, lectures, case studies, screenings held by renowned documentary directors, producers and transmedia experts, as well as public presentations of emerging documentary projects.

On Monday, 2 March 2015, the fourth edition of East Doc Platform, the biggest documentary event of its kind in the Central and Eastern Europe, begins in Prague. This event is traditionally organized by the Institute of Documentary Film, supporting documentary film in the CEE region in all stages of development, in association with One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.
