JCF OPENS WITH OLIVER STONE’S MOVIE

JCF’s opening film is going to be the Savages - this is the Hungarian premiere of the year’s blockbuster production. This is the movie from which Uma Thurman has been removed, still we can find such names among its stars as John Travolta, Benicio Del Toro and Salma Hayek.

This savagely funny, crooked movie was based on Don Winslow’s best seller and evokes the best years of the three-time Academy Award winner Oliver Stone. Ben, the peaceful and good-hearted Buddhist, and his best friend Chon, the former marine run a profitable business in Laguna Beach, California: they grow the very best marihuana. Furthermore, they both love the beautiful Ophelia. Life seems idyllic - until a Mexican drug cartel wants to join them. Ben and Chon launch a hopeless war against them. The japes are getting more and more brutal… Savages, distributed by UIP Duna Film, will be screened in the Hungarian cinemas from the beginning of October. The premiere is on 14 September, at Jameson CineFest.
