BIAFF 2012 continues

    On September 16, VII Batumi International Art-House Film Festival was officially opened. Films are being projected at movie theater “Apollo” and in the conference hall of the Hotel Radisson Blue Batumi.

    Festival began with the screening of Jerzy Hoffman film “Battle of Warsaw-1920”.  

    Georgian film director Eldar Shengelaya and Turkish Film director Nuri Bilge Ceylan were presented special awards for their contribution to the cinema.    

    On September 19, Turkish film director Nuri Bilge Ceylan will provide master class at the conference hall of the Hotel Radisson Blue Batumi, at noon.

    On September 18, his film “Once upon a time in Anatolia” (2011) will be projected at 19:30 p.m., and on September 19, film “Distant” (2002) will be projected at 14:30 p.m. 

    On September 19, “Blue Mountains, or unbelievable story” will be projected amongst master collection of BIAFF at 22:30 p.m., a film by Head of Jury of Feature Film Selection of BIAFF, Eldar Shenegalaya.   

    During the day the following in competition films will be projected at movie theater “APOLLO”:

    17: 00 “In the Fog”, Sergei Loznitsa (Germany/Russia/ Latvia/Holland/Belarus, 2012)

    19:30  “Lonely Island”, Peeter Simm (Estonia/Belarus/Latvia)

    21:30   “Let’s dream of nature”, Jenya Gorin  (Russia)

    “Stances for Keti”, Levan Tsulukidze (Georgia)

    “Waves’ secret keeper – message to sea”, Levan Tsulukidze (Georgia)
