EFA nominees on the screens of the Black Nights

    Nine films nominated or awarded at the European Film Academy Awards will be screened in Tallinn during the Black Nights, among them “Winter Sleep” by Nuri Bilge Ceylan that has collected three nominations.

    The nominations for the EFA and EFA productions 27th European Film Awards were announced at the Seville European Film Festival. The winners will be announced in Riga on 13th December.

    Black Nights will present seven nominated films and two awarded films. “Winter Sleep” by Nuri Bilge has been nominated as a candidate for best film, best director and best screenwriter; Ruben Östlund’s “Force Majeure” has been nominated for best film and best director. Last year’s Black Nights screened Pawel Pawlikowski’s “Ida” that has achieved four nominations.

    The tickets for the 18th edition of the Black Nights Film Festival are on sale at PÖFF information desks in the cinemas, in all box offices of Piletilevi and online at www.piletilevi.ee  The 18th Black Nights Film Festival takes place from 14th to 30th November 2014.
