Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival film submission is now open

Film submissions for the 20th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival are now open. The festival takes place from 11-27 November in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. In addition, it is now possible to submit films for youth and children’s film festival Just Film, a sub-festival of Black Nights, running from 11-20 November.

Entry form and regulations can be found at vp.eventival.eu/poff/20. As a new feature the festival has introduced a submission fee of 50 euros.

The programme of the anniversary edition of Black Nights will consist of three competition programmes - Main Competition, First Features Competition and Estonian Film Competition - and various non-competitive sections for features, documentaries, genre, sport films etc. The festival also has three independent sub-festivals: Animation Film Festival Animated Dreams, Children’s and Youth Film Festival Just Film and International Short Film Festival Sleepwalkers.

Celebrating its 20 anniversary, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival is the only FIAPF-accredited competitive non-specialised film festival in Northern Europe. It has become a regional gateway for international cinema and film projects, bringing quality film to local film fans and helping films start/ continue their festival run and find distribution. Each year the festival is visited by growing number of distributors and sales agents (50+), film and festival guests (200+) and covered by world’s film trade magazines Screen International, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, by the leading European film magazine Cineuropa, the biggest Russian film portals Kinopoisk and Proficinema and various other regional and international media outlets.

Submissions for the Animation Film Festival Animated Dreams and International Short Film Festival Sleepwalkers will open next week.
