Industry@Tallinn: dates announced & call for submissions

    Industry@Tallinn and Baltic Event - the summit of Tallinn Black Nights FF for audiovisual industry professionals announces dates: 17-24 Nov, 2016

    Taking place during the 20th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival the summit is bound to host a record number of guests, seeing various new projects being launched and many significant sales and distribution companies such as Match Factory, Hanway Films, Picture Tree International, Trustnordisk and Wild Bunch attending the events.

    I@T will also host several exciting events including an international sales conference, the European Film Film Forum Tallinn 16 in partnership with European Commission & DG Connect, venture capital investment camp for producers with global IP properties, the European Genre Forum talent lab presenting up-and-coming genre filmmakers from the continent and much more.

    SUBMIT YOUR FILM TO I@T WORKS IN PROGRESS

    2016 will see Industry@Tallinn returning with three Work in Progress showcases. The Baltic Event Works in Progress will concentrate on films from the Baltic region and CIS countries while the International Works in Progress will introduce exciting projects from all over the world. 

    To cater to the growing genre film industry in the region Industry@Tallinn will also showcase a selection of fresh and chilling midnighters from across the world in the first edition of Genre Works in progress section.

    Submission deadline for all categories is 15 September!

    CO-PRODUCTION MARKET CALLS FOR PROJECTS

    20 carefully selected projects from the Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, non-EU countries Russia, Georgia and Ukraine, and from focus country Luxembourg, will be presented from November 22 to 24, 2016 to international co-producers and buyers during more than 500 one-to-one meetings of this BE 15th birthday edition.

    GET TO KNOW THE FILMS OF WORKS IN PROGRESS OF 2015

    MELLOW MUD
    After hooking up with the distributor Pluto Films at least year's Baltic Event WIP showcase, the Latvian film Mellow Mud was selected to Berlinale's Generation Plus and was awarded the Crystal Bear.

    THE DAYS THAT CONFUSED
    The Estonian project was looking for film festivals at the 2015 Baltic Event showcase and was picked up by Karlovy Vary IFF, where it won the Special Jury Prize in East of West competition programme.

    TELI AND TOLI
    After teaming up with Antipode Sales and Distribution the Russian-Georgian-Canadian-Greek co-production went to Voices Film Festival, winning the Grand Prix.
