Romanian Films Czech in at Karlovy Vary IFF, June 30 – July 8, 2017

    It's time to meet the Romanian films at the 52nd edition of Karlovy Vary IFF kicking off today...

    + A difficult assignment awaits TV reporter Alex in Iulia Rugină's 3rd feature Breaking News, presented in the Official Competition;
    + In Tarzan's Testicles, Alexandru Solomon brings the audience from the Documentary Competition to a research center in Sukhumi, the capital of today’s Abkhazia, where the legend has it that it was built to create a hybrid between man and monkey;
    + In East of the West, Cristi Iftime debuts with a journey in the old family car Marița.
    + Future Frames, the European Film Promotion's programme, brings ten student directors to follow at the Karlovy Vary IFF. 
    Matei Lucaci-Grunberg, from the National University of Theatre and Film "I.L. Caragiale" Bucharest, will screen his short Bones for Otto.
