RIGA IFF announces pitching FORUM line-up

The annual Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF) pitching FORUM for children's and youth film projects will take place from October 18-19 in the Latvian capital Riga.

The compact two day event will feature a pitching session, accompanied by one-to-one meetings with sales agents, distributors, TV and VOD platform representatives as well as potential co-producers. Aside from the pitching session, RIGA IFF will also be exploring the borders between the worlds of cinema, featuring a set of seminars dedicated to various aspects of storytelling and craftsmanship in VR.

Not confining itself to discussing the use of VR in children's content, RIGA IFF goes an extra step this year and with the support of the interactive media production company Story Hub and the start-up community holders Riga Tech Hub, is launching a hackathon - an idea incubator, that will team up cinematic storytellers with talented Baltic VR developers, in order to create prototypes of their ideas of educational content for children and youth in the virtual reality medium.
