    Krakow Film Festival (50th edition - 31st May - 6th June 2010) is one of the oldest film event dedicated to documentary, animated and short fiction films in Europe. During 7 festival days viewers have an opportunity to watch about 250 films from Poland and abroad. Films are presented in competitions and in special sections like retrospectives, thematic cycles, archive screenings. Festival is accompanied by exhibitions, concerts, open air screenings and meetings with the filmmakers. Every year Krakow Film Festival hosts about 600 Polish and international guests: directors, producers, film festival programmers and numerous audience from Krakow.

    Let me tell you about our Festival in a few words. It's 50th jubilee this year.

    History. Poland's oldest film festival focusing on documentary, animated and short films. This is where Arnold, Branagh, Herzog, Kieślowski, Leconte, Leigh, Lelouch, Maysles, Pasolini, Polański, Švankmajer, Szabo and many others have presented their works.

    Great films. Every year three competitions attract about 100 films from across the globe. Five cinemas offer over 250 screenings. Since 2005 the Festival has been accompanied by the digital Krakow Film Market featuring an extensive digital collection of films. Documentary is our trademark -

    we have the latest, the hottest and the most controversial films. Also wide selection of the newest Polish films in Focus on Poland section.

    So many people to meet. Every year over 600 guests: filmmakers, producers, buyers, film festival representatives and journalists, visit the Festival. Meetings,conferences, seminars, master classes, social gatherings and Dragon Forum pitching fill in the calendar.

    Beautiful and vibrant city. Krakow is the most beautiful city in Poland. Dignified and buzzing AT the same time. Traditional and full of young people. With a legendary nightlife. Is there a better place to celebrate a birthday?

    • Somewhere in Europe - focus on the European ciemna, stores focused on human

    • Music Video Nights - a unique show of carefully selected music clips

    • A Gala Concert - Motion Trio with the project Motion Accordion Orchestra
