    ScripTeast will host Scott Alexander, an author of Golden Globe awarded "The People vs. Larry Flynt" and "Ed Wood" with two Oscars!

    Scott Alexander accepted Independent Film Foundation invitation to be a Creative Adviser of the 5th edition of ScripTeast.
    Scott Alexander together with Larry Karaszewski built a very strong Hollywood screenwriting team. They adapted a biography of Edward Davis Wood, Jr. directed by Tim Burton and played by Johnny Depp. Film titled after main character "Ed Wood" won two Oscars, Golden Glob and many other international awards. They continued working with biographies, which resulted in receiving a Golden Globe award for the Best Screenplay for "The People vs. Larry Flynt" directed by Milos Forman. Next great success was a script "Man on the Moon". Milos Forman won for that film a Silver Berlin Bear as Best Director. The newest project "Big Eyes" written and directed by duo Alexander/Karaszewski is now in production and it is again cooperation with Tim Burton, this time as a producer.

    ScripTeast is a feature film script development program where Creative Advisers direct the authors of the participating projects, on the revision of their scripts. Individual meetings with experienced world known professionals in different creative disciplines are helping authors sharpen their objectives for the story and determining the best way to tell it, as well as pointing out the demands of the international film market. ScripTeast does not teach how to write a script. The aim is to collect the best already written scripts from Central and Eastern Europe and improve their communication skills, their "understandability" from a perspective of the worldwide audience.


    Fred Breinersdorfer, the author of Oscar-nominated "Sophie Scholl" will also work as a Creative Advisor this year. In the previous edition a group of Creative advisers featured a.o. Marc Caro Cesar winner, scriptwriter and director of "Delicatessen", Chris Collins BAFTA winner, producer of "My Summer of Love", Licia Eminenti script expert, working for Arte, Eurimages, Robert Jones producer and co-producer of Oscar, BAFTA, and European Film Award winning films, i.e.: "The Usual Suspects", "Gosford Park", Joelle Levie long-term Director of Quebec division of Telefilm Canada; Antonio Saura producer of i.e.: "Fados", "Salome", co-founder of distribution company, Latino Films; one of founders of Media Business School and Mediterranea Development Agency and others.


    ScripTeast was created and is continuously lead from the artistic side by the famous Polish director and producer Dariusz Jablonski, in collaboration with his closest associates, producers: Violetta Kamińska and Izabela Wojcik. Together beside a wide international production activities through their companies Apple Film and Avocado TV, they created the Independent Film Foundation, which promotes an ambitious films and its authors in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.


    ScripTeast is organized by the Independent Film Foundation and supported by Media Program of EU, Polish Film Institute, National Center for Culture in Poland, Visegrad Fund and Apple Film Production, and in cooperation with the European Film Academy, the ACE Program, Producers Network, FNE, Final Draft and festivals in Berlin, Cannes and Karlovy Vary.
