Six high rated TV series were among sixteen competing feature films. Four were produced by the largest commercial channel bTV (www.btv.bg) and two by the public broadcaster BNT.

bTV presented its first big audience success Glass Home, a post communist family drama, based on a concept from Camera's (www.camera.bg) Dimitar Gochev; Seven Hours Difference, co-produced by Global Films (www.globalfilms-bg.com) and with national star Vanya Tsvetkova; Metropolitan Citizens More, co-produced by Dream Team Productions; and the very fresh bTV entertainment production Arrested at Home.

Bulgarian National Television participated with the internationally sold contemporary detective series Undercover and with the eccentric comedy The English Neighbour starring popular British TV actor Leslie Grantham.

Without any competition Vanya Tsvetkova grabbed the best actress award for her dramatic performance as a controversial Sofia judge in Seven Hours Difference. Penko Gospodinov's best supporting actor award went to his work in the same serial. Two best supporting actress awards were given to two established actresses who played roles of mothers: Ilka Zafirova in Glass Home and Tzvetana Maneva in Undercover.

The three nominations for best TV film went to films produced by the public broadcaster BNT: Atanas Hristoskov's debut NO. 1, (2011 Golden Rose award), deceased director Plamen Maslarov's Old Toughie,s and Undercover. The award for best TV film of the year was given to Old Toughies.
