Veselka Kiryakova segued into production after working as an editor on documentaries, feature films and the 2014 TV mini-series The Blagoons. Her breakthrough career job was undertaking both editing and production on the Berlinale out-of-competition film Aga directed by Milko Lazarov.

Her films have participated in the Trieste coproduction market When East Meets West, Cinelink, Sofia Meetings, and have been nominated for the European Film Award.
