    ZAGREB: With Dražen Žarković’s children’s film The Mysterious Boy/Zagonetni dječak, the sequel to Koko and the Ghosts/Koko i duhovi, opening in Croatian theaters on 28 February 2013, production company Kinorama is developing two more movies inspired by the series of books by Ivan Kusan.

    Director/screenwriter Daniel Kusan is developing Love and Death/Ljubav ili smrt with Kinorama producer Ankica Jurić Tilić. The 1 m EUR film received a development grant from the Croatian Audiovisual Centre. The film will be shot after the prequel The Mystery of Green Hill/Uzbuna na Zelenom Vrhu from director Cejen Cernic and scriptwriter Hana Jusic).

    “There aren't exact shooting dates. We're waiting for the film fund results in March, then we will make a decision, but we would like to shoot it as soon as possible,” Ivana Simic from Kinorama told FNE. Kinorama plans to adapt four Ivan Kusan’s novels onscreen.

    The Mysterious Boy will be distributed locally by the new company 2i Film in 15 prints. Koko and the Ghosts released in 13 prints by Continental film had 73,566 admissions in 2011.
