Ankica Juric Tilic, who is producing through Kinorama, told FNE that she hopes to have the Slovene company Gustav Film as coproducer and expects support from the Slovene Film Fund. Support from the Croatian public TV, HRT is also expected. The budget is 650,000EUR.

The cast includes Antonio Parac, Kristian Bonacic, Vanja Markovinovic, Nina Mileta, and Filip Mayer. Mario Sablic and Filip Tot are the DoPs. The film will have 36 shooting days and is set to be finished at the end of October, and it will be distributed domestically and regionally by 2i Film.

Based on the book Love or Death/Ljubav ili smrt written by Daniel Kušan, the film follows the characters from the series but, as the actors have also grown up, the topic is adjusted for a teenage movie. With 86,000 viewers, Koko and the Ghosts was one of the most successful Croatian films in the last 20 years.
