ZAGREB: German sales agent Beta Film has acquired the six-hour TV series Amnesia, currently in development, directed by Goran Gajić and produced by the Croatian company Drugi Plan.
Amnesia will be shot in the surroundings of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, the actual route used by many refugees fleeing Syria.
“The story focuses on a community still scarred by the recent war and the resulting forced population shifts. Human trafficking and drugs are the main sources of income, mostly for a chosen few. With a bleak and claustrophobic future, the only way to survive is – to forget. Everything. Amnesia”, director Goran Gajić said in a statement.
According to a press release, Branka Katić, Tihana Lazović and Aleksandar Cvjetković will star in the film.
Shooting is set to start in March 2020.
