    PRAGUE: Czechoslovak actor Radoslav Brzobohaty died 12 September 2012, just one day short of what would have been his 80th birthday.

    Brzobohaty played leading roles in two seminal Czech New Wave films: Vojtech Jasny’s All My Good Countrymen (1969) and Karel Kachyna’s The Ear (1970) about a ministry official whose house is bugged. He appeared in over 70 films, most recently in Bastards II in 2011, and in the Slovak/Polish film Legend of the Flying Cyprians (2010).

    Brzobohaty was born in Slovakia (then Czechoslovakia) in 1932. His career spanned over five decades of appearances in film, TV, and theatre. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in the 2012 Czech television TyTy awards.
