PRAGUE: German TV film State Justice/Landgericht by Matthias Glasner wraps shooting in the Czech Republic on 12 April 2016. The film is a coproduction between the German UFA Fiction and Mia Film from the Czech Republic and it is made for the German channel ZDF

State Justice, a two part film adaptation of a successful novel by Ursula Krechel, describes the fate of Richard Kornitzera, who fled before WWII to Cuba, from where he returned to Germany in 1947. The main characters are played by Johanna Wokalek, Ronald Zehrfeld and Barbara Auer.

The film's total budget is 7 m EUR, of which one third will be spent in the Czech Republic. Shooting in the Czech Republic took place in several locations including Liberec, Mlada Boleslav, Usti nad Labem and Praha – Suchdol.

“Since the launch of film incentives in 2010, the number of German productions in the Czech Republic is constantly increasing. Only in 2015, ten German TV films and series were shot here with a total local spend of 22 m EUR. All these were expensive historical films, which is also the case of State Justice,” said Ludmila Claussova from the Czech Film Commission.

Shooting started in Berlin at the end of February 2016, then moved to the Czech Republic for 29 days.
