I, Olga Hepnarova by Petr Kazda and Tomáš WeinrebPRAGUE: I, Olga Hepnarova, a Czech/Slovak/Polish/French coproduction directed by Petr Kazda and Tomáš Weinreb, will be theatrically released in the UK on 18 November 2016, following its UK premiere on 11 November in London.
The film is a black-and-white historical drama about a lesbian mass murderer, who was the last woman to be put to death in Czechoslovakia, in 1975.
The film was produced by Black Balance and coproduced by Media Brigade, Alef Film and Media Group, Love.FRAME, Spoon, Barrandov Studios, Michael Samuelson Lighting Prague, FAMU, Arizona Productions and Odra Film.
It received financial support from the Polish Film Institute , the Czech Film Fund, the Slovak Audiovisual Fund, Odra Film.
