Hanka Kastelicova was named VP and Executive Producer, Documentaries, HBO Europe.

Johnathan Young was appointed VP, Original Programming and Production, HBO Central Europe and assumes responsibility for the central European teams in Warsaw, Prague, Budapest and Bucharest. 

Steve Matthews was promoted to VP and Executive Producer, Drama Development, HBO Europe, covering Central Europe, Nordic territories and Spain.

The three report directly to Antony Root, EVP, Original Programming and Production, HBO Europe.

“These promotions recognise our senior team’s outstanding achievements over the last few years. The original productions they have overseen have been successful with local audiences, sold internationally, selected for major festivals and have received many awards,” Root said. 

In recent years, HBO Europe has gained international recognition for programming originating in Central Europe.
