PRODUCTION: Czech Director Martin Krejčí Shoots His Debut Feature in US

    LOS ANGELES: Czech film director Martin Krejčí starts shooting his debut feature The True Adventures of Wolfboy, starring John Turturro, in the US at the beginning of September 2017.

    The film, which tells the story of a teenage outsider who runs away from home to find his estranged mother, is an independent production between K Period Media, Big Indie Pictures and Heroes and Villains.

    Olivia Dufault penned the script and the cast includes Jaeden Lieberher, Chris Messina, Eve Hewson, Chloë Sevigny, Sophia Grace and Michelle Wilson.

    WME Global and UTA Independent Film Group are handling international sales.

    Martin Krejčí is an award winning scriptwriter and director, internationally recognised in cinema as well as advertisement. He studied documentary at FAMU from 1996 to 2004 and currently lives mostly in Los Angeles, but also works in the Czech Republic. He has received multiple awards including a Cannes Silver Lion and several notable awards for his Hornbach series and Stella Artois advertisements.

    His short film Fricasse was selected for Cannes Quinzaine des Rèalisateurs in 2003. In 2013 he made in the Czech Republic the short film Fear, which was awarded best foreign language film at L.A. Shorts Fest. He is also known as the creator of original trailers with stars for Karlovy Vary IFF.
