Crowd Funding Campaign for the Czech Premiere of Warsaw Pact Army Invasion Doc

    PRAGUE: Czech Analog Vision, the production company behind the archive documentary My Unknown Soldier by Anna Kryvenko, launched a crowd funding campaign to support the theatrical  release of the film on 17 August 2018. This archive documentary comes 50 years after the invasion of Czechoslovakia by the Warsaw Pact army.

    The film consists of well-known as well as never-seen archive footage from all over Europe and Russia, and it is narrated by one of the soldiers who participated in the occupation, and by proxy by his niece, the Ukrainian director of the film, Anna Kryvenko.

    My Unknown Soldier is produced by Analog Vision from the Czech Republic and Latvia’s Baltic Pine Films in coproduction with Slovakia’s Wandal Productions and RTVS Slovakia as well as the Czech Television, the Latvian Television and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

    The project was supported by Eurimages, the Czech State Fund for Cinema, the Slovak Audiovisual Fund and the National Film Center of Latvia.

    After its theatrical life, the film will be distributed through the KineDok platform and streamed online via DAFilms.cz.
