BBC World on Fire Shooting in Prague

    PRAGUE: World on Fire, a seven-part series for BBC One, is currently filming in Prague through Czech Anglo Productions, using Czech film incentives.

    The series, consisting of seven 60-minute episodes, was approved for 53 m CZK (2.04 m EUR) in film incentives. Filming in Prague began in October 2018. Vaclav Mottl is the Czech line producer. Adam Smith is directing the first three episodes.

    The series is written by Peter Bowker and stars award-winners Helen Hunt, Lesley Manville and Polish actress Zofia Wichłacz along with Jonah Hauer-King, Julia Brown, Brian J. Smith and Polish actor Tomasz Kot. The story, set at the end of WWII, is told through the intertwining fates of ordinary people drawn from Britain, Poland, France, Germany and the United States as they grapple with the effect of the war on their everyday lives.
