PRAGUE: The Czech Film Center (www.filmcenter.cz) held its first locations tour in Prague on 8 October 2010, hosting German and Czech producers for a visit to some of the city's underground settings. Speaking with FNE, CFC director Jana Cernik said the center would like to offer more tours in the future.
Seven representatives of German film companies, TV production companies, and film funding bodies met with almost 20 invited colleagues from the Czech Republic. Most of the visitors were potential partners who had not previously been involved in a coproduction with the Czech Republic.
Prior to the tour of sites, the Czech Film Center presented a showcase of short films from German and Czech film students, introducing the producers to new talents from both countries.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
FNE’s objectives include VISIBILITY for the region and AUDIENCES for films by providing a special focus on the region.
