    TALLINN: I Won’t Come Back (Ya ne vernus, Ma ei tule tagasi) directed by Estonian helmer Ilmar Raag competes for the Tridens Estonian Film Prize at the Black Nights film festival running through 30 November 2014.

    The film is a coproduction between Russia (CTP Film Company), Finland (Helsinki Filmi), Estonia (Amrion), Belarus (Belarus-film) and Kazakhstan (Kazakhfilm) The film’s budget was an estimated 1.5 million euros, of which the Estonian Film Institute provided a total of 90,000 EUR for production and distribution. The film was also supported by Eurimages.

    I Won’t Come Back made its festival premiere in the Viewpoints section of the Tribeca Film Festival where it won the special prize of the jury. It won the top prize of the feature film competition at the third edition of the Let’s CEE Film Festival. The film follows Anya, a young graduate student, and Kristina, an orphan, on their road-trip to Kazakhstan to find Kristina’s grandmother.
