By

TALLINN: The Estonian National Film Producers Union (ERPÜ) announced that it was accepted into the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) during organization’s General Assembly in Cannes on May 16th.

According to Benoît Ginisty, Director General of FIAPF, the decision to accept ERPU was unanimous. Estonia is the 30th production country in FIAPF.

Andrus Raudsalu, producer and Chairman of the Board of ERPÜ, said: “As the biggest organization uniting Estonian film producers, becoming a member of the International Federation of Film Producers Associations was a logical step for us.”

In 2014 FIAPF accredited Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival as a non-specialized competitive international film festival.

The Estonian National Film Producers Union is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 and has 18 members. Since 2013 ERPÜ is also a member of The European Coordination of Independent Producers (CEPI), which organises and represent the interests of independent cinema and television producers in Europe.
