TALLINN: Black Nights Film Festival and its industry platform Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event are backing the launch of Storytek, a new content and media tech incubator that held a pilot event during the 2016 festival.
The initative, which will be headed by Sten-Kristian Saluveer and Hedi Mardison, was founded by private investor with the goal of helping content creators, producers and early stage digital media start-ups and entrepreneurs fast-track their products and services to global markets. It will also guide them in accessing new forms of mentoring and financing from venture capitalists and the tech community.
Storytek is funded by the Estonian government business development and export platform, Enterprise Estonia and its Creative Incubators support programme.
Storytek will open its first call for applications in July at storytek.eu and the first edition will begin in September 2017.
