GRANTS: Estonian Film Institute Announces First Grants of 2018

    TALLINN: The Estonian Film Institute allotted 1,080,000 EUR for feature film production and minority co-production in the first sessions of 2018.

    The largest grant, 370,000 EUR for production support, went to Good-Bye-Soviet Union, a coming-of-age story by Lauri Randla, produced by Exitfilm. The second largest grant of 320,000 EUR went to Erik Stoneheart, Ilmar Raag's children's film, produced by Amrion. A grant of 70,000 EUR went to the third installment of Class Reunion remakes, Godfathers, directed by René Vilrbe and produced by Taska Film, and 60,000 EUR went to Kadri Kõusaar's fourth film, the hostage drama Dead Woman, produced by Meteoriit.

    Minority co-production support was granted to Tanel Toom's Gateway 6, produced by Allfilm, in the amount of 16,000 EUR, and Zaida Bergroth's Maria's Children, produced by Stellar Film, in the amount of 100,000 EUR.
