Estonian co-production Vasha completes principal photography

    Estonian production company Allfilm's Vasha has moved into post-production, following a 36-day shoot, most of it taking place in and around Tallinn.

    The story of a young dreamer who meets a stranger with a secret, Vasha is a co-production with Germany, Finland, and Ireland. Estonia provided €616,000 or the €1.385 million budget, as well as the half of the principal actors in the film and cinematographer Rein Kotov. The film (also known as Kid & Killer) is scheduled for a January 2009 release in Estonia.

    Allfilm (www.allfilm.ee) producer Piret Tibbo-Hudgins told FNE that there will be three more Estonian films in production this year with. Two, Snow Queen and Temptations of St. Tony will have small amounts of foreign financing, and a third, Buratino is a co-production with Russia, with more than an half of the financing coming from Russia.
