FESTIVALS: House of Others Wins the 17th Tbilisi IFF

    TBILISI: House of Others by Rusudan Glurjidze was awarded Golden Prometheus for best film at the 17th Tbilisi International Film Festival (28 November - 4 December 2016) while Months, as a One Day by Rezo Esadze was awarded best film in the national competition.

    Tbilisi IFF Closing Gala, credit: Tbilisi IFFThe jury of the international competition was composed of Alexandra Stewart, Peter Rommel, Davide Ferrario, Eva af Geijerstam and George (Gia) Bazgadze. Lisa Nesselson, Glenn Myrent, Erika Gregor and Ulrich Gregor decided the awards for the national competition.

    Take Me Home by Abbas Kiarostami closed the festival. Poland was the country in focus this year and the festival also screened German and French films (Made in Germany, French Collection) with a special section dedicated to Margarethe von Trotta. The third edition of the Industry Days was also part of the festival.
