Film network Paramount Channel launches in Hungary

    BUDAPEST: The 24 hour TV film network Paramount Channel has launched a new pay TV film channel in Hungary. The new channel will include films from the Paramount Pictures library as well as recent films from US and European studios. All the films will be dubbed into Hungarian language.

    Paramount Channel is owned by Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) who also operate VIVA Hungary, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Comedy Central, Comedy Central Extra and MTV channels.

    VIMN launched the new channel last week after inking distribution deals earlier with Magyar Telekom. VIMN ownd the Paramount library of films and operates Paramount Channels also in Spain and Russia.
