Hungarian film nominated for EFA prize

By FNE Staff
The Hungarian film Here I Am directed by Bálint Szimler has been selected as the final nomination in the European Film Academy (www.europeanfilmacademy.org) short film awards category.

The short film initiative is organised by the European Film Academy in co-operation with fifteen film festivals throughout Europe. At each of these festivals, an independent jury presents one of the European short films in competition with a nomination in the short film category of the European Film Awards. Among the fifteen nominated short films there are fiction films, documentaries and animation films, representing 14 European countries. The 2,300 members of the European Film Academy will now vote for the winner.

The only other nominee from CEE is the Polish film Hanoi - Warsaw directed by Katarzyna Klimkiewicz.

The overall winner will be presented during the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, 4 December, in Tallinn/Estonia.
