HelloHD TV launches in Hungary

    Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB) announced that it is supplying high definition digital video recorders to Hello Platform for the launch of the new Hungarian television platform, which launched May 1.

    In a press statement, Hello Platform (www.hellohd.tv) CEO Schmideg Andras said, "With the launch of HelloHD the digital conversion really begins in Hungary." He added, "We needed a partner who was experienced in bringing new technologies to market in a very short space of time. ADB executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing Jim Lomax said, "This contract marks ADB's first entry into the Hungarian market."

    The ADB units, for both cable and satellite DVRs, are integrated with Multimedia Home Platform (MHP) software and the innovative PushVoD application from Osmosys (www.osmosys.tv), developer and licensor for interactive television. Headquartered in Switzerland, ADB has a research and development facility in Zielona Gora, Poland.
