By FNE Staff

The festival is now receiving financial support from the Ministry of National Resources (www.nefmi.gov.hu) to organize the HFW, but the Organizational Committee stated that they are negotiating with other sponsors as well. The members of the Committee are Krisztina Hermann secretary (Association of Hungarian Filmmakers), Gabor Garami main organizer (Cinema Film), Eva Vezer (Filmunio, www.filmunio.hu), Adel Rozsa-volgyi, Csaba Bereczki (international director of MMKA), Maria Sos, Tibor Kocsis, Gabor Ulrich (representatives of the film professionals), Laszlo Kresz (secretary of MMKA), Gyorgy Durst (representative of the Board of the MMKA).

Altogether 410 Hungarian and coproduced titles were submitted to the HFW. The selection committee will assembly a competition programme from 28 features, 60 animations, 95 short films, 58 scientific-educational films, 147 documentaries and 22 television films.
