GRANTS: Latvia Announces Minority Coproduction Grants

    RIGA: National Film Center of Latvia has allotted 300,000 EUR to eight minority coproductions including two feature films, one animated film and five documentaries.

    The grants were announced on 14 August 2017.

    Lotte and the Lost Dragons, an animated film by the Estonian directors Janno Poldma and Heiki Ernits and coproduced by Rija Films received the biggest amount of 69,000 EUR.

    The Lithuanian/Latvian feature coproduction Invisible by the Lithuanian director Ignas Jonynas received 57,070 EUR. Another feature film Skin Walker, directed by Luxembourg filmmaker Christian Neuman and coproduced by Film Studio Kultivators, received 13,746 EUR.

    All these films are set to be finished in 2017 - 2018.
