Ivo wins short film fest

By FNE Staff

A trio of Latvian student filmmakers have won the short film prize at the INCHES festival in the Netherlands for Ivo.

Gints Amolins, Zigmunds Ziemelis and Rihards Olmanis (a Baltic Film and Media School student) took the award for shorts five minutes and under, which came with a 2,500 prize.

The film, about a child who sleeps through the nightmare created by his parents' actions, is a stop-motion animation. All three filmmakers have won prizes at previous competitions.
