Three films win Latvian grants

    Latvia's National Film Center (NFC) has awarded LAT 381,200 in funding (26% of the NFC's budget) to three feature length films, out of 13 submissions.

    The NFC (www.latfilma.lv/nfc) funded the following films:

    Dream Team, directed by Aigars Grauba and produced by Andrejs Ēķis, received LAT 170,000.

    People There directed by Aika Karapetjan and produced by Roberts Vinovskis received LAT 121,200.

    Amaya directed by Maris Martinsons and produced by Linda Krūkle received LAT 90,000.

    The decisions were made by a three person committee consisting of directof Jānis Putniņš, film producer Uldis Cekulis and NFC's Uldis Dimiševskis.
