FNE at Berlinale 2013: Vanishing Waves Scores More Sales

    BERLIN: The Lithuanian film Vanishing Waves directed by Kristian Buozyte picked up more international sales during the EFM in Berlin and looks set to become one of the most successful Lithuanian films internationally in the post-Soviet period.

    The film which is repped by sales outfit Reel Suspects has already been sold in many territories worldwide. During Berlinale it was picked up by Helios Films, who will release in April in France, PFA for Italy, Aquelarre for Spain, Artsploitation for Canada, Artplex for Greece and Best Digital for Taiwan.

    Vanishing Waves is produced by Lithuanian production outfit Tremora headed by Ieva Norviliene in coproduction France and Belgium.

    It also is scheduled to appear in a string of festivals in 2013 including the upcoming Official Selection in the Istanbul IFF, Jameson Dublin FF Ireland, Fantasporto FF in Portugal, Offscreen Belgique and Brussels IFF in Belgium, CPH PIX in Denmark and Fantaspoain Brazil
