The 26 minute story about the attempts to find the bridges between different people received a prize worth 10,000 EUR in equipment for the next project. The prize was supported by Vilniaus Kino Klasteris. Five Lithuanian shorts, six Estonian shorts and three Latvian shorts competed.
The New Baltic Cinema short film competition jury also elected Bridges as the best Lithuanian short film. The director received a prize of 3,000 EUR, supported by the Audiovisual Authors and Producers Rights Association AVAKA.
Special jury mentions went to Latvian short Pa Pa, directed by Valērijs Oļehno and produced by Antra Cilinska; and Estonian short The One, directed by Ivan Pavljutskov and produced by Elari Lend.
The festival moves on to three more cities in Lithuania, running through 22 November.
