FESTIVALS: KineNova IFF Announces Competition Lineup

    SKOPJE: Ten films from nine countries will be shown in the International Competition line up at the 2nd edition of the KineNova International Film Festival, set to take place from 6 to 11 October 2017. Serbian actor Zarko Lausevic will receive a Special Recognition for Special Contribution to Film Art.

    The slogan of the festival is “There is a first time for everything”. The main programme consists of first and second feature films from around the world selected by Marina Kostova. Another competitive section is the Short Film Programme. Additional, non-competitive programmes include Cinema Balkan, Macedonian Shorts and 0% Censored. Also, the festival will host a short film script development workshop, panel discussions and masterclasses.

    The International Competition jury is composed of Goran Markovic (Serbia), president, Hülya Uçansu (Turkey), Sinolicka Trpkova (Macedonia) and Igor Galo (Croatia).

    The festival is supported by the Macedonian Film Agency.
